Dash heater

Fan for the dash heater isn't working. I checked the fuse in the box outside it was good but I changed it anyway still wasn't working. I know I must be missing something but have know idea. Anyone have any idea? Jim

I had intermittent operation of the fan. Could be going down the road with the fan operating and hit a harsh bump and it would quit. It was frustrating and difficult to chase down but it turned out to be a bad splice in the wire harness. I pulled that lid off the dash and followed the fan control wires back into the wire bundle. Had to remove several inches of electrical tape but when I got to the splice the power wire fell out of the crimped butt connector. Installed a new butt connector and crimped it really good....problem solved.

Or it could be the resistor block on the fan housing. It too is accessed from that opening on the dash.

Our heater went out last year while driving down the road. After trying many different things, we finally discovered the ground wire had come loose from the heater blower motor itself. A quick fix once you get to it...
