I had to take mine 4 hours from home back to the place I bought it from to get the slide repaired.

Never had that issue here in VA, I've always bought all my campers and now motorhome through a friend in New York and have had them all worked on here in VA. There is actually three different dealers near me that sell Forest Rivers and they've all worked on my coach. When I purchased my motorhome new, Randy in the Diesel division even set up my first appointment at a dealer near my house to get some work done that the factory messed up when I ordered the coach. If you're having that issue, I'd call Randy and have him speak to the dealer. If they sell Forest River, then they should honor the warranty. It's like buying a Chevy and another dealer won't work on it because you didn't buy it from them..... I'd wave the flag on that and make some calls!

Jason; you are a lucky guy, but it doesn't always work that way. Not for me and several others that have had rejecting FR dealers.

Call Evan Shepard at Motorhomes 2 Go in Grande Rapids. I took pictures and gave him the data and got a great deal on the trade and the total difference, and saved a lot on the sales tax. I live in State College Pa. They have wheels. Give Terrytown Rv a try.

We shopped for the Berkshire model we were looking for on RV Trader.com then requested quotes from several dealerships (some 500 mi away). Rec'd the best offer from Motorhome Specialists in Texas. We were very happy with the trade in amount, and the sales price of the new coach. (We ordered ours).
A local dealer tried to offer us $14K LESS on our trade than MHSRV because he "didn't think you would want to drive that far". Then he had the nerve to act surprised when we told him we bought from MHSRV. We bought the coach last October, the local salesman stills calls us to see if we are ready to "trade up" LOL.
