Dim LED Ceiling Lights

Knock on wood, I haven't had LED light failures, but I have two problems.

My living room area LED dimmer controls 8 ceiling lights and 3 soffit lights on each side. My first problem is that the fuse for the 3 soffit lights on the sofa side keeps blowing. That fuse controls the 3 soffit lights and the dining table light plus the wall sconce and overhead sofa light. However only the soffit lights are dimmable. I do understand the circuitry of why only three LED fixtures go out with the bad fuse and not all of them. This is because the dimmer control, feeds the ground side of all the LED fixtures, which enables the 12VDC side of the fixtures to be grouped to different fuses. But what's blowing the fuse - anybody?

My second problem is that the eight main ceiling lights when even on high give you the feeling of being in the twilight zone. I even bypassed the dimmer and still not good. I was surprised when removing the fixture's glass cover, that each fixture had almost forty LEDs. See enclosed picture. Does anyone know of a brighter replacement?

not sure about your blown fuses issue. it's gotta be shorting out somewhere. on my coach, one of them was wired wrong and didn't come on at all until i took it all out and rewired.

for the blinking lights, it's your coach batteries. i had blinking lights for the first 1.5 years and was able to get by with turning them to max brightnest when plugged in. then later my batteries died and wouldn't hold a charge no matter what so i switched them out for new batteries. the blinking was gone immediately.

I do not have blinking lights; my LED ceiling lights are not very bright. I am on shore power and have measured over 13 volts going to them.

ok.. when you said twilight zone, i imagine it was super fast oscillations which was what happened in my coach. even when on shore power since the lights are connected to the battery.

I guess that flashing is something that is inherent in the 2014 models. I get that as well.

Just recently my living lights controlled by the switch at the entry door and the wall switch with dimmer under the thermostat out side my center bath stopped working. I have checked fuses and switches but can not make them come on.

Any suggestions would be helpful. This is a 2011 Berkshire RB.

Is your front switch on. The one by the entry door.

As Himcules said, I have about figured out that my flashing LEDs also have to do with low battery.
I noticed them flashing bad last weekend and when I looked at the monitor the battery voltage was about 12.1.
Then I noticed that we had lost shore power and had been running on the inverter with the microwave, electric skillet and coffee pots going.
As soon as I got the shore power restored the LEDs stop flashing.

LEDs can fail short circuited unlike incandescent light bulbs that fail open circuit

Mine started doing the same thing last week. Lights pulsing is the way I would describe it.

I found that one of my 6 volt coach batteries had come apart. By this I mean that the case had ruptured. Like exploded??

How I found it --I noticed that my coach on the inverter would not last as long as it did before.

Replaced that battery and the pulsing went away. So I would look for a low power situation. ??

Russell did the battery freeze? Odd that the case would split open. Did you replace all or just one? How big a mess did it make? All that acid could do a lot of damage. Hopefully you were not parked on a concrete pad.

No way it could of froze? Spent Nov to April in Florida ?? Have no idea what happened. All were low on water? I only replaced one. Hard to say when or what happened. I keep it in a barn on concrete. No mess there. If it happened in Florida it would of been on gravel ? Still has acid in the bottom 1/2 where it didn't split ?? I took all batteries out & washed box good. Will just see if I need to replace other three or not. They check good ?

Here is a pic of the battery Phil. My guess is that it must if cracked in Florida ? As I have no acid on my barn floor.

Russell I am not a battery expert but could be pressure build up if cap vent failed or overcharging if one of the cells was bad making the charger working harder.
