Phil,
I guess Murphy is still hanging around! (LOL!!). Looks like your install turned out very nicely though. Sorry to hear that the install was harder than expected and that you were disappointed in the company.
Nice job.

Phil/3putt,
I went a slightly different way. I ordered this from Lowe's online. Cost less than $80 and took me less than 45 minutes to install. The hardest part was getting the screws at the back of the frame in. Long screwdriver helped somewhat but as I said in an earlier post, trying to get my fat a** into the cabinet was a challenge.

Tmmar, nice job. Yep reaching to the back wall is a PITA for sure, but the extra storage is great.

This is the next one I put in. It's under the sink and makes it a much more usable space. Click image for larger version

Phil,
Great idea with the 1/2 shelf/drawer. Did you put that together your self or did it come that way? Is this one from the same company where you bought the other drawers?

Tom that came from the same place. It really adds to the storage in the sink cupboard.
We just tore out the carpet on the couch slide and ordered new. It will be installed the 6th and the new furniture will be put in the 9th. We thought about doing wood or laminate but it would let the chairs slide around so much.
After this I do think we will put in laminate in the bedroom. Has anyone put in floor heat the electric type under the laminate? It would be a nice way to heat just the bedroom.

Phil,
Sounds like everything is going along nicely. I don't know if you could put the heated floor under laminate. The floor and the heating elements may make it too thick for the slides to operate without scratching the floor. Just something to think about. Hope the rest of your remodel goes smoothly.
Take care and say hello to Dianna for us.
Tom

Phil,

Tell me more about how you selected the replacements for the driver and passenger seats, what model did you choose?

Good Luck

We went to Brad and Hall and sat in everyone of them. We both found the Flexsteel 554 was the most comfortable for us. We also went with the upgrade foam and Ultra leather that has some new type of breathable material. As long as we changed the couch we got the recliners and the captains chairs matching color.the recliners areLazy Lounger wall hugger in the same 544 3101 Brisa Fresco oat straw colorhttp://www.braddandhall.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=6&idcategory=71

Phil,
Why don't you leave it like it is in the picture this way we can have one big party without all the furniture stuff in the way! (LOL!!).
Looks like the mods are coming along nicely.

Remodel is complete. Brad and Hall did an outstanding job and couldn't be happier with the layout and workmanship. The ran power over to the desk on the drivers side slide and the colors all matched the new carpet. All in all worth the time and money. I can drive all day in the new captains seats.
