1st thing- get a thermometer in freezer- and check the temperature. most ice makers work like this-
the ice tray has a thermostat in it. usually set for 0-10 degrees f. when the tray gets that cold- it will go into a harvest cycle, at the end of the harvest cycle the tray refills with water- tray warms up because of water- then when the tray is 0-10 degrees ( now water must be frozen) it will go into harvest again. So your freeze could be say 20 degrees f- and thing are frozen but it s not cold enough to trigger a harvest of the fill cycle.
