Dometic ice maker question

I'm having an issue with my ice maker only making ice sometimes. Last summer, the bin always stayed full so I would lift the lever to stop it so I didn't have stale ice all the time. Now it only seems to make ice about once a week or so.
Has anyone experienced this?

Is your value open all the way? Might not be getting filled with water. Also, are you some place cold? Could be a frozen water line leading to the fridge,

I'm in Colorado but it's been in the 50's and 60's the last week or so. I noticed when I was checking in the outside fridge access that there's a tag that says the fridge is equipped with a heater for cold weather and ice maker operation.
Also, I defrosted the freezer today to see if that makes a difference

Jegstrup, up in Divide? Were down here in Pueblo. We had to replace our water silonid once in the back of the fridge and there is heat tape around it, but not on the plastic line to the silonid. Also we always shut the ice maker off when not hooked up to water since it will keep trying to put water in it when there is no presure.

We had ours replaced twice it has stopped making ice again. We are not replacing it again I think there is a design flaw.

I got tired of fooling with the ice maker and the small amt of ice it made so I turned it off, turned off the water to it and bought a portable ice maker. It pours out ice and supply us with tons of it....

I removed the ice bucket and now have extra room for frozen food....

Hmmm, the common thread seems to be that the ice maker is a POS and just forget about it lol

Was having trouble with mine, turns out the freezer was not cold enough to make the ice maker work. They replaced the control board which made the freezer colder, and the ice maker started working again.

Along the same lines, I have a Dometic 1350 also but the icemaker has never been connected. My question is; the refridgerator is in the large slide out along with the dinnet & couch, can the ice maker be connected to a water supply since the slide is subject to moving in & out. The refridgerator is in a position that is located directly above the external water hookup, outside shower and one of the black & gray water dump.

Are you positive it is never been connected? There is usually a cut off underneath the sink someplace.

Dometic 1350

It was a brand new replacement for the original that came in my 2011 Georgetown when I brought it - original gave out 2 yrs ago while traveling, Camping World only had a new one w/ice maker, after sitting around their place, Little Rock AR, 4/5 days while they worked me in, didn't want to wait any longer, so left it disconnected. Would have to have waited a couple of weeks longer for a unit without the ice maker.

Looks like mine is working again. Found a leaking line outside coming from the control solenoid. Fixed that and I'm making ice again. 😀
