Drop down table on BH model

Ok, I am sick and tired ( cleaned up the language) that the POS table keeps falling while stationary. Tonight was the last straw. Have others with the drop down table had similar issues? What was the resolution? Help!

Not sure, are you talking about the dinette table? Mine drops down only when the lever is flipped over but if it's in locked position it will hold my kids on top of it... Trust me, they will climb on anything.

My table did the same thing. My solution was I stretched a small bungee cord across the lever so it could not drop on its own allowing the table to fall. I fixed the bungee at both ends with screws into the table underside I used about 8 inches of bungee cord. In the 3 years since doing the fix the table has not fallen once.

Paulie is it because the lever moves or does the table fall even if the lever stays put?

I used velcro tape to hold the lever on my Fleetwood. Have had no problems with my Berkshire.

Here is a picture of my quick fix. It works and still does not stop me when I need to drop the table.

Is the table mechanism itself pulling from the wall or the table top loose and moving away from the wall. My table top became loose so I dropped it down about half way, removed the screws that were holding it together from the bottom. Once the screws were out I drilled four 1/4 inch holes through the top and mounting bracket that is on the bottom side of the table. I counter sunk the holes on the table top and put four flat head bolts through and put lock washers and nuts underside to fasten the table top to the bracket. Mine has not moved since I made this repair.

If that is your problem, this was an easy fix. If the bracket pulled from the wall that is a whole different solution.

Good luck
