If you get a retrofit, Forest River pays for it.

Here is Randy's address: Randy Houser (RHouser@forestriverinc.com). I e-mailed him with my weight information and he took care of it. Great Customer Service Rep. He is the warranty manager. Dealers are not in most cases aware of the issue. Best to deal with Forest River.

Freightliner mailed me a sticker to apply to the front axle.

I have not gotten a new inside sticker, but Freightliner put on new plate on the axle so says the work order. Sadly, I am still overweight on the back...

I also got the axle sticker mailed to me. I asked the Tech in Gaffney about a new inside sticker before I left and he thought we would not get one. As for the back axle weight, I thought the weakest point there would have been the tires, which they replaced. I am thinking that the new tires would have allowed us to carry more weight there. When I looked at the tire chart for the maximum air pressure of 110 on each tire, it allowed for more weight. I do realize that I can not still exceed the weight allowed for the transmission. Is anyone else seeing it this way?

I suppose it depends. My rear axle is rated at 17,500. Even the old tires easily exceeded that. The new tires definitely are an improvement, but if you are over the axle rating, it is still an issue. I agree that the tires are the most worrisome point, followed by the airbags and then the axle itself. I am not grossly over, and it is only when I am completely loaded including water in the tank.

Also of note, I had Freightliner do a 4 point weight on my coach. The front was fairly evenly weighted, but the rear was 1200 lbs heavier on the right side! Not really much I can do about that as my cargo does not make up a significant amount.
