Easy tire rim question for you Berk owners

I am setting up my tire minder transmitters today. On the back tires....the outside rim is aluminum, so I have aluminum sending units for those. Is the inside rim aluminum also or steel ?

Thanks guys/gals....Getting pumped for our first trip with it in two weeks.

Ken

Ken,
The rear inside rims are steel. The only aluminum rims are the front rims and outside rear rims.
Hope this helps.

That's what they look like to me, the only thing that threw me off is that the valve stem looked aluminum......I want to be careful and get the correct sending units for the TMS

I didn't know there were different sending units for steel and aluminum.
But mine are TST.

ETA: I jsut read the tire minder website and it seems to me it has to do with the type of valve stem, (brass, stainless steel or aluminum) not type of wheel.
Did I interpret that wrong?

I believe you are correct. That's why I was wondering about the rims. All the valve stems look like aluminum so I think that is what I need. I am calling TireMinder on Monday to find out for sure.

I think I'm going to sell the one I had in my pickup and buy a new one, just want to make sure I get the correct one.

Thanks,
Ken
