We love our Bershire XLT 45A bunk we needed a desk to replace the bunkhouse. Jim Spencer did a GREAT job building us a custom desk to replace the bunkhouse! WOW Jim, thanks for the workmanship and beautiful desk!Click image for larger version

He matched the wood perfectly! It looks like it came out of factory. Perfection!

But then you'll be hoping for grad kids!

My golden retriever has taken over the lower bunk- We put the mattress for the lower on top of the upper. and he dragged his bed in there.

I really like the conversion. One of the key reason I purchased the BH model due to this great flex space. I have actually removed the doors so that the space is more open and more light comes into the coach.

Couple of Questions:
How did you level the level the floor between the coach and desk area?

How did you deal with the lower window? Did you take the knobs (to open the window) off to have the desk flush with the outside?

Can you send more pics, please?
From the outside, a pic through the window.

Showing the floor between the two spaces?

The upper valence?

Great job

I'll get pictures sometimes this morning. The floor was leveled by an additional piece of platform covered with carpet to put down when at desk for chair to be level. The bottomed window was covered by a 2" back board that covered the window, knobs and all wiring. That is the piece you see above the desk but it goes all the way to the floor. Give me a couple of hours and I'll get out there and take some pics.

Wood valance that will have a pull down shade. Floor platform for chair can store under chair or on left side as shown. The back of desk against the wall comes up above desk top to clear bottom window and to have space for the added outlet. Click image for larger version

Thanks so much for the additional pics, they give a great perspective..

It looks like you remove the hanging rod but I bet if needed it could be added back..

It looks really seamless.... Thanks again for the additional pics..

Yea the hanging rack could've stayed. We take some friends with us from time to time and didn't want to make that their closet instead of our work desk! And yes - seamless! Jim Spencer did a great job!
