Fiberglas roof question.

I have a fiberglas roof on my berk. The dealer says there is no need to do any maintenance on it. Does anyone here put any type of wax like nufinish to protect from sun damage? I would assume if you need to wax the Fiberglas gel coated walls it may not hurt to do the same to roof? Thanks for any input. Ken

My Georgetown has the same roof. I usually get up there twice a year to wash off all of the dirt and debris and then check all of the caulk etc. I use Simple Green and a scrub brush. The roof has a little dimple effect to it and the brush works real well. Once I complete that I wash it with the same stuff I use on the sides Gel-Gloss. It's a cleaner / wax for Gel-coat. The roof is still nice and white and I don't see any signs of it degrading after almost 6 years.

When I wax the exterior of my Lexi, I also wax the fiberglass roof. I use Nufinish on both.

Thank you for the info. I was hoping for no maintenance. Looks like I will be spending a few hours waxing the roof this weekend.
