First trip
So far so good. Short trip, just and hour and 30 minutes from home. I trailered my golf cart and it pulled well. The Berk drove great, backed in and hooked up everything. All is well except we are seeing some small styrofoam in the master bed and in the bathroom. I'm guessing it's coming from the air ducts. Will investigate more tomorrow.

The Styrofoam is normal...every unit will have it somewhere. It isn't a big deal. Just vacuum it up and wait for the next few pieces to fall. When you've driven it for a while and experienced bumpy roads, you should eventually see an end to it. Just the residual foam left from assembly.

My 2008 still emits the styrofoam bits from the duct work with 39,000 miles on the odometer :-(

Maybe that styrofoam has something to do with why some AC units can't keep the coach cool. Although we froze our butts last night.
This morning a heavy rain woke us up, I'm checking for leaks, none found yet. Haven't made it out the check the DS fuse compartment yet.
Our site and a couple visitors yesterday. I love ducks, especially in a gumbo....lol

When plugged into shore power are the park lights still running off the chassis batteries? Will it draw them down?
Was thinking about putting on my park lights until I get rigged up with LEDs.

according to the forest river website faq, the 12v system is powered by the converter when on shore power. that should cover any 12v devices like your parking lights, ceiling lights, etc...

Thanks Him, well we are back home now. I would have to say that this first trip was a success. Although we had 6" of rainfall we did check the whole coach for leaks and only found one small one on the top bunkhouse window. A few other little minor issues that I'll get the dealer to fix but overall we love the Berk and don't regret buying it for one second.

Great to hear you had a successful first outing- despite the rain. For what it's worth, been raining here in NY for 3 of the last 4 days.
