Another mudflap question for you all.

I have the flap hanging so the top of the metal framing is about 1" below my exhaust pipe. Flap is right at 4" off ground at ride height.

The issue I'm having is when on gravel or unimproved roads the flap occasionally is hitting off ground and rubbing on bottom and hitting exhaust pipe.

I need to get this thing a little higher and the only way to do that is cut a bit of material out where the pipe is maybe 3" x the width of the pipe.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to reinforce from the outer edge of pipe to end so it doesn't bend over eventually. I think that is the only reason for the metal across top.

Any suggestions how to accomplish this effectively would be appreciated!

Tom
Wondering how many of you have a NON-powered step well cover, as I do. I asked Randy H about factory upgrading mine last June and he said that they tried it once and "it did not turn out well".

Try pulling out a manual one while in the coach (actually pushing it out). YUK!! It's so stupid I never use mine at all.

Boowho??

Bill you are right. I don't know why they waste our money putting in the cover with out power. I can't pull mine out.
Do you have an update in the leak?
