Forest river stone guard/mudflap
Anyone know if this will be compatible with the new Legacy Diesel pusher? I'm assuming yes since it is on the xcs chassis but thought I would ask to be sure.
Anyone have any pics of the hanging points on rail?

Berk's are on a totally different chassis, they use the freight liner XCR which is there raised rail chassis. That is what makes the basement on the berk so big. The legacy is on the other chassis you mentioned which is the same chassis that the smaller diesel pushers use like the palazzo and others.

Btw, the guard hangs from the hitch and most are universal, so to answer that question, I would think yes it would work. The guard on the berkshire just says Forrest river so it would still match the legacy.

Yeah I've seen palazzos with the guard. There are I think two berkshire 2013 and 2014 on the xcs chassis as well. The models with the 300hp cummins are. I think one is a 36 ft and one is a 39.

That is what I figured in looking, there are forward and aft holes in receiver frame. The aft are for my safety cables and breakaway cable. I'm assuming I could hang on the more forward holes.

Installed the rock guard today. Seems the heights I can get it at ride height is about 4.5-5 inches off ground. When I dump the air prior to leveling it is about a finger width off the ground.
Should these clearances be adequate?
I do have a slight incline on my driveway apron which may be an issue but I may drill a small hole in center to pull it aft and up to get it out off way if it becomes an issue.

Just recently had to rework mine.... Mine doesn't hang from trailer hitch; it has a special bracket that attached to rig and then guard attaches to bracket....
Your distances sound about right... At times, when bags are empty, mine drags the ground.....

There were two brackets attached to side of my hitch. Looked to be the same to that came with the flap. There were also two sets of holes maybe 1/4-1/2 inch higher that may have worked but that would have possibly caused it to rub on exhaust.
I can't imagine the back of coach bouncing 4-5 inches with bags inflated.
It it touches slightly when parked and bags deflated I can't see that harming it. Thing is pretty stout!

anyone know where to get a bracket like this to pull mud flap up and out of way for driveway aprons etc....
Here is a picture, no clue what it is or where to get. Looks like a clothes hangar but more ridged.

I drilled 2 holes in the mud flap and installed 2 stainless steel eye bolts. I put the eye bolts about 12 inches apart near the bottom of the flap. I then take a bungee cord and put 1 hook into one of the eye bolts, wrap the bungee around the receiver part of the hitch and then put the other hook into the other eye bolt. Works great.

Not a bad idea. I guess I could probably use some pretty small eye bolts since it is only holding maybe 50lbs. Do you have a picture?

Question, I have my quick link attached to hanging point and then two links and then the Clovis which is through the flap.
Right now I'm at about 4.25-4.5 inches at ride height. I don't think it is dragging on roads but on gravel and uneven surfaces it is close. Anyone have any simple ideas on how I can get it raised up another inch or so? Ideally if lime to be 5" at ride height off pavement. Just seems everyway I picture it in my head has the links not oriented properly with either the Clevis or quick link.
Any suggestions?

I did things a little differently.... I took entire unit off and then drilled out the rivets holding the flap to the bracket... I then took a box cutter and removed 1" of the rubber from the top of the flap... I then re drilled the holes in the flap and riveted it back to the bracket and reattached everything to the coach .... I now have better clearance...

I didn't do it for general clearance. I did it because when I back the coach onto my driveway and I go up the apron which is slanted upward, the flap would scrap. Now I don't have that problem.

Just curious, I just got a 2014 400bh and it did not have the mudflap. Is that a option or do they all come with them. I need to call my dealer but I just wanted to hear the truth on here first before I call them.
