Front roof AC with heat pump
We have not yet taken possesion of our new Berk and have a question about the AC/heat pump. We asked the dealer if our coach has a heat pump in the front , he looked and told us it did not so we opted to have them put a new AC in with a heat pump. Now we are on line soaking up all of the info that we can (we are new to MH and to FR) we found a list of standards on line for our coach. It says that a front AC with heat pump is standard....any thoughts o wise ones?
Merry Christmas

I would think he should be confronted with what you found on the website or let your attorney confront him.

AND we were told that our coach had a 10,000 pound towing hitch. We decided we better take a look and see if it was in fact. Off we went to the lot and you guessed it.....nope not 10 but a 5,000 pound hitch! What is up with this sales person for goodness sake! We are actually thinking we may have to back out of the deal because of what we had been told and what is in fact so! AAAHHHHHHH crabby I am

I'm beginning to realize more and more, RV salesmen aren't any more honorable than used car salesmen.

My coach is a 2008 and it has front and rear heat pumps. Not sure if this was changed in newer model year units. Mine is rated at 5000lbs towing but I have the 340hp diesel. If the coach has the 360hp diesel, it would be rated at 10000lbs for towing.

I have the 2011 Berkshire 390BH 340hp, it has the front heatpump, I'm assuming a model year change from the 2008. Tmmar is correct on the hitch, if it is a 340hp diesel then it has the 5000lb hitch, the 360hp has the 10000lb hitch.

I just purchased a 2008 Berkshire 36QS, does anyone know how to get the front generator open? Cannot find switch or latch.

I don't have your year, but I do have a Berkshire. My release is in the 1st compartment on the drivers side, up near the top. On mine there is a pull handle with a cord (wire) attached. Hope that helps.

Mine is a 2010 and I had the same problem but I found it by accident. Open the front compartment on the driver's side. You should see some fuse panels, etc. About halfway up on the rear wall you should see a small black handle. This is attached to a cable. Pull it and the generator compartment should pop open. You have to give it a pretty good tug.
