Fuel/ water separator filter

I ordered the Alliance R50419, should be here tomorrow. Thanks for all the dizzying advice....lol.

I now hate filter shopping as much as plumbing shopping.

But on a good note, It will only cost me a total of $151 and change to change engine oil & filter, both fuel filters and oil and filter change on the genny.

That actually sounds a little low to me. My old Monaco was about 150 in filters including the generator and 100 bucks in rotella 15w40 diesel oil (genset was a diesel as well.) I think part of that was due to the on engine filter having the water in fuel alarm, but even the oil filter for the ISC was 40-50 bucks.

I can put pics of the receipts, I bought all the oil at Walmart which saved a ton of money. Walmart Shell Rotella 15w-40 was $5 & change cheaper by the gallon than any other store in my area.

Ahh, I figured it out, you have the ISB, not the ISC/ISL motor. 4 gallons covers all your oil needs for the 12 quarts for the motor and 3ish qt for the genset.

My old coach had the Cummins ISC and took 7 gallons per oil change (6.3 in the motor plus .7 for the filter) and another gallon to do the genset. So paying around 12.98 per gallon for it, I still spent 100 bucks in oil every year, plus another 125-150 in filters depending on if I got them locally or online (engine filter, 2 fuel filters, plus oil and fuel filter for the genset)

Now with the 5th wheel I just have about twice a year oil change needing 4 gallons and a filter on the truck.
