Gasoline usage

Does anyone know how many gallons of gasoline per hour are used when running the generator only. I know it is dependent on what utilities are in use, so I am looking for a ballpark estimate. We have a 2015 Berkshire 34 QS

Generally around 1/2 Gal-1 Gal of Diesel per hour. Not sure why you would run just the generator without any other appliances running.

I have heard the same although I have do real idea how to check it. Between 1/2-1 gal of Diesel per hour depending on the load. I also have heard that running the gen with no load is not good for it. There really is no reason to run it without a load so not a huge concern. Also running the generator is good for it. You should run it once a month with a load for 1/2- 1 hour per month.

The manual for the generator has a chart for the usage, I do not have it in-hand, but remember that it is like only 0.4 gal/hr with 1/2 load. I ran the generator with both air conditioners on for my past weekend trip; otherwise we would have died with just the engine's A/C/

My 6500 watt portable generator burns 5 gallons every 12 hours, loaded up pretty good.

I ran my generator for 8+ hrs straight (until we got out of the Texas heat) with both AC units going and figured it cost me about 1/2 gal of diesel per hour.... BUT it was well worth it because the dark AC on these coaches just won't get the job done when it 100+ degrees outside.... Plus it great exercise for the generator....

The generators love to run. We only dry camp because we are at race tracks every weekend and there are no hookups at all. A few weeks ago we were in Maine for the weekend and we ran the generator for 18 hours straight because it was just to hot out to not have the a/c running. We would give it a break during the night for a few hours before running it again the next day for several hours. Probably ran it for around 45 hours during a 4 day span and it was well worth the diesel!
