GCWR and TOAD Capability

So with what Randy sent you, your coach can handle 29500 leaving 3500 for a toad. Obviously your probably not maxed out at 29500 so I'd weigh the coach with everything in it and see where you're at and then subtract that from 33,000 and it will give you the max amount of weight for your toad.

My coach fully loaded weighed about 27,500. That leaves me about 5,500 for a toad before I go over the GCWR of 33K

I will repeat this as I feel it's important. If you have not gotten the upgrade and have 255 tires your front axle is 10400 lbs NOT 12000. I believe all 2011 came with tile floors.

Very true! Sorry if I confused anyone. I saw he stated that he had the upgrade done to the bags and tires so was posting about that. Good point and thanks for reiterating the information.

The GCWR is 33.000 lbs max because of the limit of the Allison 2500MH tranny. If one was to have the coach loaded at 28,000 LBs, then the full 5k rating of the hitch can be used.

I have a 2012 340 with all the stickers. Before the tire/airbag upgrade, the front axle was rated at 10,410 lbs and rear at 17,500 lbs. That totals 27,910, which then subtracting from the 33,000 lbs GCWR Allison limit leaves 5,090lbs. With the tire/airbag upgrade, the front axle goes up to 12,000lb; which mean that you can carry more, but with more in the moho means less to tow.

The hitch rating should not solely be used for what can be towed!!!!

I suggest to the OP and everyone to get their moho and toad weighed.
