You need to check the voltage at the generator starter terminal while you are trying to start the genny. If it's above 9.6 volts, look for a bad starter or internal connection. If its lower, check supply connections and batteries.

SUCCESS !!!! I now have a $800 starter in my generator and it fires right up!!!!

Actually a $874.00 starter... $250.00 for the part and bend over for the rest.....
