Generator Slideout?

When I purchased my coach, the owner didn't know how to slide out the generator. I figured I'd easily see how...but I'll have to say, after crawling around underneath, and checking all the switches and compartments...I'm stumped!

How do I slide the generator out to check it?

Thanks!

Look in the compartment below the drivers side window(exterior). Same area where your fuses are. There is a release there. Sorry I don't have my rig here or I would take a picture.

It's on the top left. It's a cable release not a switch. On the left wall.

in your picture there are 3 bigger red cables coming down from a hole going to the solenoids. 2 are tie wrapped together the other is not. In the middle of the 2 tie wrapped and the single one you see the 2 finger pull latch for the genny compartment. Give it a pull an the genny slide will release

What speedmerchant said....it's the black pull lever between the red cables approx. 4-5 inches below where the reds enter the compartment from the top. It's like a hood release in your car, so don't pull to far out. You will here the latch release if all is working properly. Move to the front, if it did operate, you should see the tray sticking out a bit. If it has been a while since it has been opened, you may have to have someone hold the lever in the open position and then you give the tray a good tug at the bottom. Tray should come right out.

And be careful where you push when you go to close it back. I was told at the factory, (by Mitch) that it's easy to over stress the fiberglass and cause cracks to begin spreading. Try to only push on a re-enforced area.

Boowho??
