It is an Atwood unit.

Maybe I am almost there but touching the wires together causes me to double check.

Thanks again.

Run into Walmart and get some pipe cleaners they work great for cleaning that tube.

Girard is having a gas valve issue on some of the 3rd Gen units. Mine is one of them. Needs replacing which they will cover. If you are a DIY guy, they will send it to you. If not, they have warranty provisions to have dealer do it. Call them and they will walk you thru the temp fix to get it to work.

Spoke to Girard this afternoon. They told me that I have a flow valve problem. The switch that I jumped was the temp switch for cold weather operation.

Any way tried tapping on the flow valve and no go. New valve ordered and bring shipped. In the mean time jumping the temp switch gets us hot water.

Mine crapped out on us tonight. I tapped Something and it finally kicked on again. fan and water was running but the heater wasn't igniting. I really dislike Gerard stuff.

I found that when it rains and if there is water in the water heater compartment, that the heater will only cycle on for a few seconds. Once I dry the compartment out, everything returns to normal. Just my experience with the Girard gen 2.

Well... I installed the new flow swith and the fan and igniter come on, but it won't fire.

I'm tired of messing with it. We are headed towards home tomorrow and will drop off at the repair shop.

This water heater version 1 and version 2 are the two biggest complaints I have with our Berkshire.

I would love and pay for a traditional hot water heater.

Tom I think I also get water into the water heater area, although haven't noticed anytime that it hasn't worked. Do you also get water in the compartment below the water heater ?

Never looked into the compartment below the water heater. It has been raining here in Orlando much of the afternoon so I will check tonight.

5456- checked last night. No water in compartment below heater but about a 1/4 inch in the heater itself and damp area in the compartment where the heater itself is located.
