GPS in dash?

Hello all, I was reading some older post on the forum and just wanted to clarify something. We are expecting delivery of a new to us 2013 390RB soon. I had assumed it would have an in dash GPS system, but some of the older post made me believe that these units did not come with that. Not a big deal because I have the Good Sam/Rand Mcnally large screen RV GPS unit I have used with my fiver, but just checking. -Glenn

Glen,
My 2014 did not come with an in-dash GPS so I would think that unless the previous owner installed one, yours would not have one either.

Thanks guys. Again, not a big deal. I like my Rand McNally 7720. The RV exclusive features are pretty neat to have.

FWIW, this will be a New feature on the 2016 XL & XLT: Dash radio with integrated color back-up and side camera package with navigation.

DW asked at the factory and we believe it is a Garmin GPS but could not confirm if it is a Garmin RV-760LMT (which would make sense!)

Bamabob: It's most likely the same Magnadyne unit that came in our 2015 Legacy. In a nutshell, don't count on much. Search the forum for Magendyne and you'll see what I mean. I use mine only for occasional XM radio (for which I had to add the adapter myself as it doesn't come with the unit - it's "XM Ready" only) and for the cameras. The GPS was terrible. The other features may be good but the factory speakers were so bad we couldn't really tell. We got a Garmin 760RV and love it. For music, iPod and a Bose Bluetooth Speaker that sits on the dash. Sounds great!

Our 2014 did not come with one and did not seem to be an option.

Fine with me. There is already so much going on with the in dash screen with cameras, I did not want a GPS to compete for screen time.

Thanks for the great advice! Fortunately, we have a RV760LMT we currently use with the 5er--and you're right--it is a GREAT unit!

DARN! That's right, the in-dash unit is also the camera monitor. I had thought I would just pull the whole thing out and install a Pioneer unit that has Apple Car-play installed. Hmmm wonder if there is an available chunck of real estate on the dash to install it (and maybe some decent speakers LOL)

Here's a link to a little thing I did to improve the radio sound.

The dash on the Berkshire is starved for space. I'm lucky I can get my Magellan suction mount on there without inhibiting access to the controls.

We rented a 2016 Sunseeker which had the factory in-dash GPS. It was set to announce speed limit infractions and we couldn't turn that off. It squawked every single time I was over, even if 1 mph! The other irritant is with it installed in the dash you are at the mercy of incoming light, for reflections, glare, etc. Which stop the driver from seeing the display. We are getting the RV 760 for our own SunSeeker so it will be more adjustable for driver's visibility.
