It would be a nice option but as seen in the picture I attached of my 2014 390BH's power compartment, I don't think it would be an easy install!!!

Mounting Power cord reel
why not mount it to the ceiling of the rear battery compartment, Looks like there would be enough room. Then use the original area to store your extension cords.

I'm all confused.... All my batteries, inverter, charger , etc. are on the curb side of my 08 Berk.... My plug-in for land power is on drivers side in compartment with transfer switch and surge protector.... I have tons of space in that compartment for a reel...

On the 2014's, this is what my other side looks like. Rear open, middle is hydraulics bay and fwd one is the DEF tank.

The earlier pic I posted of the drivers side bays, the middle one under the inverter/charger is the power cord. It is hard wired into the coach and there is a hole in the bottom of the bay that you pull the cord through. Then you have to pull it back through the other way and wrap it up in that tight area under the inverter once you're done using it. Pain to wrap it when it's cold out.

Wow..... Mine is a loose cord that I plug into MH and other end plugs into CG power.... Loose cord rolls up and is placed in compartment for travel....

If only that we're true. Unfortunately, my 2014 is set up exactly the same as the picture of JTN8's. There is very little space. Since we're 2 females traveling alone and I don't think I will ask my 80 year old mom to drag that darn heavy cord around, it sounds like my best option might very well be that flexible cord from Glendenning.

Not sure why they changed the battery compartment. Mine is double stack with the chassis battery over the coach. Still not room for a reel but less wasted space.

There is a conversion kit that allows you to make a permanent cord into a loose one like a lot of the fifth wheels. It would be similar to Ernest 917. This would mean you would only have to feed the last 12" through the darn hole. I have this on my list but haven't got there yet.

Below is a link to the conversion kit I was referring to. The biggest issue on my coach will be the fact that the electrical switch is in the back compartment and the cord is in the second from the rear. One would think that the compartments share the same sheet of metal for the divider wall, but they don't. They are actually 2 separate walls with about an 1/8" gap between them. This will make protecting the mounted cord somewhat interesting.
