Having Some Berkshire Bad Luck...

It all started last week with the bedroom slide, then my rock guard broke. Back the coach out of my storage building this evening and the left front wheel seal is leaking... All with less than 5,000 miles on it. Thank goodness for warranty.

I had the wheel seal replaced at the Freightliner dealer here in Harrisburg. Our plan was to have the minor warranty repairs completed at LazyDays over Christmas break while we were in Florida.

Change of plans... My sister baby is expected to arrive sooner then expected, so we postponed the Florida trip and stayed in cold & snowy PA for Christmas break.

Sorry to hear that you had to stay up here with us cold northerners, but a new baby is really special so enjoy. So are you looking at Easter Break?

Sadly our Easter Break falls before the end of tax season. If I leave for anything prior to April 15th I'll have a major revolt here in my office. But you'll love this one Earl, my wife and daughters got a deal for Beaches-Turks & Caicos, so they will be spending a week in the fun and sun of TCI while I struggle with the wonders of the US Tax Code. Sounds like a fair deal, right?

This summer the kids will be gone for a few weeks so we may get a chance to do some travelling without the kids. We'll see how that works with just the two of us.

So far, I have found Forest River less than stellar when it comes to dealing with warranty issues. I have dealt with Dometic, Freightliner and Coach Step directly. All three of these companies have been very good. For the Step and AC replacement I ended up having the work done at a nonForest River dealer since the FR Dealer in my area was being such a pain in the butt.

I compained the FR maintainance manager at their head office but they claim to have no control over their dealers.
