Not all units are over weight. I'm not sure they would know which units to recall other than the 390-RB Berkshire. Only some of the others are affected like the 390-BH. Forest River is correcting the issue at their expense even ones that are out of warranty. Other manufacturers have a weight problem but won't do anything about it. I think Phil was the first to discover it. I didn't know until I decided get my coach weighed due to seeing some being pulled into a portable inspection station with portable scales here in Temecula CA and decided to know my weight.

While you're looking at upgrading your suspension, you might want to think about dynamic forces in addition to the static load with your vehicle just sitting in your driveway. When you take curves, weight transfers to the outside tires. If the suspension and tire tire load ratings are marginal when sitting still, there can be substantial overloads when moving. In the case of my trailer, the outside tires are overloaded by about 30% on curves which may be the root cause of my tire failure on Monarch Pass in Colorado. The same physics would apply to a motor home.

I looked into the federal rules for testing of ST tires. They are only tested to 100% load, so any assumption that ST tires can withstand an overload is without basis. I'm not sure whether this is also true of tires for a motor home.

This has nothing to do with your ongoing fight with FR. It's not a tire issue and it has been resolved and is open to any Berk owner that has a over weight issue.

In case anyone is wondering...It appears they have resolved the weight issues at least in the 2015 models. We have a 2015 38RB - 340. Before a long trip, we had the basement loaded, fridge loaded, clothes, full of fuel, propane, and 1/3 tank of FW, plus me and the wife on board. The only thing we didn't have on board when we weighed is our two 60lb puppies, so we can add 120lbs to the below weights, they travel in the bunk beds so they would be added to the rear axle.

Steer Axle: 10,140
Rear Axle: 16,940 (17,060 with puppies)

Total Weight: 27,080 (27,200 with puppies)

2015 38RB has a 10,500 front axle and a 17,500 rear axle, for a GVWR of 28,000.

That leaves us 360lbs under on the front axle and 440lbs under on the rear...or 800lbs under GVWR!

Because it's to very different Moho's. Have you gotten info in getting it fixed?
If you have a 2014 or newer Moho you should be good. I (and everyone else) highly recommend getting your Moho weighed to adjust for ride and to make sure you are safe.

Yea, after looking up the 38rb, I saw it didn't have a slide behind the driver like my 390fl. I'm sure that's a lot of weight difference.
Mine is 2012 so I've still got to get an empty weight for it, not easy to set up when you live in it fulltime.

I got an email from Randy say when my coach left them it was under by 1100 lbs had it weight yesterday 10320 lbs, what I'm I dining wrong. The weight was taken with no- one inside?

Was your coach empty of all belongings? Also what does your sticker in the cabinet above the driver seat say. does it have the 12000 lbs front axle or the 10,400?

I'm sorry but I don't remember what Moho you have. I see it's a 2012 but need more info.
What model
What config did you weigh it. Was it empty of your gear. Fill fuel? Def? LP? Post a copy of your weight sheet and your yellow sticker.

You also said Randy indicated your Moho was under 1100. What do you mean by that. The cargo capacity was under 1100?

Yes it was empty of all cargo, and a full tank of fuel, DeF, and propane. No fresh water, no gray water or black water. The sticker says I have a 10,410 Front axle capacity.
I have the 390-BH 340 built in 2012.

That sounds like my 390FL.
But, I found out my tires are upgraded to 275's.
The guys at Forest River said there should be a tag on the axle that would tell me if its been upgraded too. Haven't crawled under there yet to see.
