Does this affect older models too?

Hello:

I'm the new (second owner) of a 2008 390BH-40 - Did the older models (2008) have the same front-end axle weight issue?

Thanks in advance.

No you should be good. I would always recommend you get a weight but would expect you to be well below weight. The issues started with tile floors and larger fridges. Also DEF is reported to add almost a 1000 lbs. I'm surprised be that. Most of the issues I have seen are with 11-13 mostly RB's and BH models.

Help - Wt. Police

I just wanted to close out this thread by saying Randy H and the gang at the FR Diesel Div did a bang up job upgrading my airbags and tires today.

I can't thank them enough for the professionalism they showed me.

Randy also comped me some items that were way out of my factory warranty.

I know someone there reads this forum so tell everyone I said thanks.

When you say def adds 1000 lbs, I'm guessing you're referring to the entire def system, not just a full tank of def, right?

DEF weighs approx 9.3 lbs per gallon. The tank is around 13-14 gallons. So worst case is +/- 130 pounds.

The whole system is what was referred. I should have phrased it as a question. How much weight does a DEF and all the other pollution control stuff added in 2010 add to the weight?

Late to the party.

We have a 2011 390RB and are now faced with dealing with this weight issue.

Any chance someone could PM me the contact info for the right person at Berkshire? I thought I had the correct info but it has been several days since I emailed and I've not heard back so I want to double check the contact info I have.

Thanks,
