House Water Filter....

I think it's time to replace the whole house water filter... however the tech at the dealership put it in prior to us picking up the coach so I didn't get to see how to install. I tried turning the housing counter-clockwise but it didn't seem to budge and I don't want to force it then break it. Is there a trick or how do I get that thing off?

Thanks y'all!

Hard to say without seeing it. Make sure the pressure is released by turning off the water supply and opening a downstream faucet.

As JohnF said, relieve the pressure. You can open the drains on each side in the water bay. You should have also received a water filter wrench in the box with all your manuals. The wrench fits over the filter and makes it easier to remove.

Tmmar.... Is that also how you drain the fresh water tank, from the water bay side?!?

Nathan,
There is a door just in front of the rear wheels on the passenger side. There are 2 clips on the underside edge of the door. Undo the clips and raise the door (you will need something to hold the door up because there are no hydraulic pistons to hold it open). In that compartment you will see the water pump and valves that will allow you to drain the fresh water tank. That is where you would pump the non-toxic anti freeze through the system if you winterize your coach.

It is CCW looking up from beneath the water filter. When looking from the top, it is CW. Hope that you have the plastic wrench that fits over the filter housing. - Hank

I'm puzzled. Wouldn't it be CCW from either top or bottom view?

How about turn it to the "left" to remove?
