How does the auto start generator work?

Hi folks, I picked up my new Berkshire 390RB-40 last weekend. Drove it home in a snowstorm. I have a question though. Can someone tell me how the auto generator start works? When we did the PDI, I thought we covered everything but there was so much information my brain was on overload and I don't remember that part. I appreciate your help. Thanks. Oh and I love my new Mojo. My name is Jo so I guess you can figure out the rest.

I too had issues on the way home after purchasing my 2013 Berkshire. You have to hold the start button down for as long as 15 sec, depending on ambient temperature.
