How Hard would it be....

Sooooo latest in our dilemma on deciding WHICH floorplan to choose!

Anne-Marie wants to continue her sewing and quilting when we hit the road FT in 2018. We really like the XLT 43A floorplan because I had an idea of a mod I could do to the dinette table that would add storage for her sewing machine and a few other sewing odds and ends.

Then, after reading some posts this weekend it smacked me between the eyes: 43B ya dummy! The BH= Anne-Marie's sewing room!

Has anyone else modified the BH to be a home office (or in this case a woman cave for sewing ?)

Nope - but I sew and think that is a much better idea than the dinette. She will be able to lay her project down and shut the doors when needs to walk away from it versus having to pick everything up and put it all away every time you need the table. You could also design storage in so that she can have all of her supplies right there.

There are so many sewing/craft and storage options out there now, maybe the two of you could discuss her needs and design it together. That sounds like a fun project! GOOD LUCK - if you end up going that route, please post pictures! If you want to surprise her, let me know and I will help you.

Rick found a site (can't remember the name of it) google: "convert rv bunkhouse to office"
If you don't HAVE to have the XLT: the Berk 38A is also a good floorplan. It is a bunk model too. No, maybe it doesn't have the tag axle and added length or some of the extra fancy gadgets, but it also costs $100K less......... just sayin...........

Thanks Karen! And, yes, we have been considering those "Charleston-Like" price tags of owning a XLT

Bob, Forester and Sunseeker have a desk option in place of the bunks on the 3171/3170 that is not in their brochure. Perhaps they can do the same thing for the Berk. DXSmac has the option in her Sunseeker 3170 and loves it. You might want to PM her for the details.
