next question. never had a issue but sounds like the slide motor is straining. is the fluid level supposed to be up to this line. and do i check with slides open or closed. right now in the pic the levelers are down and slides open.

Should be checked with everything away. That is what Equalizer told me when I was there after Goshen.

That is not a measuring line. With all slides and levelers retracted the fluid level should be about a half inch (maybe more, don't remember) from top of reservoir. That could be normal with all extended though.

I don't know why there's no Full or Add lines on RV hydraulic reservoirs. But Yes, check your fluid level with every hydraulic actuator item retracted. This ensures you get a correct fluid level reading.

I suggest after making sure your hydraulic system is not leaking and everything is retracted to make a line on the reservoir showing the Full level for future reference.

Slides in, jacks up then it sould be close to the line, if not top it off to the line with jacks up ans slides in. Ours goes down like the picture when jacks down and main room sldes out

Full line is the line after it says "Fluid Level".

It looks like the full line sticker fell off. The line is right at the top indent line. Check with slides closed and jacks up. As long as the pump isn't sucking air it will not help to add more fluid. It looks about right for slides out and jacks down. If you suspect air in the lines you cane purge the lines by running the jacks up all the way with slides out and let it sit for 5 minutes. Be very careful doing this. Make sure you are going up equally on the jacks. There is a procedure printed in the manual.
Also have you lubed the gears lately? Also the seals.

i have not lubed the gears or seals, please explain procedure and what to use.

The fluid should be up yo that line when the slides are in and about where your picture shows when slides are out. You say they sound like they're straining; are they fully extending and retracting? Are they moving slowly? We had an issue on our 2015 Legacy where the large slide moved in and out very slowly and wouldn't retract all the way (lacked about 3/4" closing). Turned out to be an internal leak in the hydraulic cylinder, thus no obvious leaking of fluid.

Use a lube for the gears. A dry lub. I get it from CW but I don't remember the brand. Also there are grease zerts on the timing bar. Some will say they don't do anything. Maybe they don't but Warren at the factory told me to make sure I grease them do I do. The lube I use on the gears is a spray and it doesn't collect dirt.

Assuming you're not sitting in Florida ... hydraulics most always sound a bit more strained this time of year due to cold temps. The fluid gets stiffer for no better word to pump. Still like said it is good practice to put dry lube on slide arms, gears, and even silicone type products on the slide seals. As for gears ... if your large hyd slide has the balance shaft underneath ... it has a rack on the slide arms and gears on the shaft itself. This setup is common on fivers and TT's
