They replace my motor three times before replacing the entire step assembly. It was replaced just before putting it to bed for the winter. Am keeping my fingers crossed for this year

I would gladly replace the step with a better quality unit if someone could suggest an alternate.

Dang it - put the new magnets on the door and closed it and it worked fine.... Went out this AM and steps were out.... Looked a few minutes ago - yep.. They're closed... Like I said earlier - I HATE THESE D---- STEPS !!!!!

Not yet..... Tired of putting money down this hole... Might just close it, pull the guise and use fold-up steps until Goshen and the get them to REPLACE THEM!!!!!!!!

From what you are describing sounds like the step controller is bad

I hear ya screaming Ernest....lol. There's a direct replacement that you can get at any auto parts place. PM Glevron, he just changed his because it was going in and out on it's own.

Sounds like you have a short somewhere. Either inside the motor assembly or at the door contact.
