From Steeler Country: Looks great, love the exterior color. DW was wondering what your interior colors were? Did you get the hot water heater working? How does it drive and what might you suggest when we pick up ours next week? How many parts did they take off of our Mystic Shadow 38A to get yours out the door?

Super congratulations on the Berk,

Bobby and Linda

They threw in this really nice passage seat with a foot rest, they said "Packer fans only" JK. I also saw a box with Blinds in it, I never got an answer, if they were the ones for my 38A model.

Hot Water Heater was reset, tripped, reset, tripped, then finally pulled into the garage, reset and never tripped again. Gene magic, I guess. Nothing changed, always running off the pump, so it should be the same water pressure/flow rate. Temp dropped to 22 degrees last night, and I didn't have a heated hose, so decided to just run off the tanks. So far, as of tonight, the hot water has been Hot & Plenty.

They (Motorhomes 2 Go) sure are moving a lot of motorhome's through there. It was quit the parade of MH's in and out today.

This thing drives like a dream. After my Class C, I can't get over how quiet the ride is. It's almost spooky.

The Full Wall Slide out is a little noisy going in and out, (just ask my gun shy dog, Full Panic Mode) But it seems to work just fine.

Inside we have the "KONA COFFEE LATTE" for a color pattern.

Bill and Kay: State College Steeler fans here are happy for you. Glad it is working like a dream. We pick ours up now on April 26. Evan says it could be ready for the 15th, but the Penn State Blue/White game is the next day. I can't miss the spring football game with 80,000 fans screaming for Penn State to win, which they always do...it is predetermined. The following weekend is my grandsons birthday. Love the motorhome, but we can't even think about missing his #7. So we moved it to the 26 hoping also to avoid the cold weather in Grand Rapids. I will need to call Elaine at Woodchip to get my reservation fixes. If you are still there could you leave us a little cheese from Wisconsin? I will send you a "Terrible Towel" in return.

Best regards,

Bobby and Linda

Dear Bill and Kay,

Just wondering how the new 38A is performing. Any tips for us? I guess you feel blessed right now in that new rig. BTW, good one on the spare parts (seat and shades) ☺.

Here is another tip for driving, that you may know about. I run with the rear camera on all the time. You may want to set up your camera as I did to help with the driving, passing etc. (In a parking lot somewhere or driveway) I measured off a 20' and 30' distance behind the coach, then placed a line (adhesive white strip about 1/8" or 1/16" wide) on the camera screen. Now when someone is out of the 30' zone, you can glance down and know it is OK to change lanes. Makes is super easy when passing and keeping track of the crazies behind you. I added two vertical lines too that line up with the outside width of the coach for backing up or making sure cars are outside of your zone. All together 4 thin lines on the screen: one horizontal at 20', one horizontal at 30', and two the width of the coach vertical. You may need to turn your camera up some (high on the back of the coach using a ladder) to get a better field of view. The top (off the screen) measurement can be done too, it is about 150' before you see any traffic in the screen.

Another tip to try: put a small red or yellow dot (smily face) on the windshield (near the bottom edge) on the right and left side of your steering wheel. When driving look at the right dot; that would line up with the white line on the edge of the road. Real helpful with cattle chutes or country roads. The left dot lines up with the center line. This is helpful for other drivers who don't drive it as much too, but still need some extra help in centering the coach on the road. Obviously, don't stare at the dot, but just glance at it to get a feel for the right side or center line occasionally, followed up by a quick glance in the mirror to see the line in relation to your right or left rear tires.

Finally, you should add a third dot on the windshield at the base directly in front of your steering wheel view. Then go outside and get someone to move a tennis ball or cone until you see it line up with the dot. Then measure that distance. You will be surprised that your first view of the tennis ball as you look down is actually about 15' in front of you. Makes you think when the grandkids, puppies or bicycles are near by.

One more tip that helped me. Check out Safe-T-Plus steering control. I added it to my Sportscoach. Loved it. keeps you straight, safe for blowouts and knocks down the tractor trailer drift to nothing. I removed it now from my Sportscoach and will reinstall it on the Berk. Safe-T-Plus sent me new bolts no charge for the reattachment. You don't want to reuse bolts that have a torque rating over 200 ft. lbs. I worked at Cat Inc. in manufacturing of bolts. We tensile tested bolts in the lab to failure. Just saying for other (DIYers) who might read this and consider keeping/switching their Safe-T-Plus for another rig. It is an expensive, but worth it add-on.

There is also: Bill and Kay bb920. They have a 38A. The 38A Bill and Kay will be parking in the Berk Parking area for Goshen.

I saw one on 24 east of Nashville heading east pulling a white something or other. Didn't see the toad. That was this morning.
