I saw a picture of a 2018 and it didn’t have the gear strip on the side walls of the big kitchen slide. Maybe they did a late year change.
I also had the tv over the dinette with a small window on each side of it

The TV change and the patty above the fireplace is a change they made halfway through 2018. The other noticeable change was the headlight. I didn't notice if they changed the slide mechanism. I'll check it out. Thanks

I saw a 2018 (2017.5 according to the owner) the only Scwhinntek slide on it appeared to be the smaller bedroom slide. It was in Savannah at CreekFire Motor Ranch, may still be there. They said they weren't moving along until after the first of the year.

On ours, we have two schwinntek slides: the bed and the wardrobe.

The Kitchen and the Dinette are both hydraulic.

And, I wish the bed and Wardrober were as well - I hate Schwinntek slides!

Occasionally a Schwintek slide will get out of synch, extending all the way on one side but not on the other. Here are some tips from Lippert Components on preventing that situation and correcting it should it occur.

I must have missed the bed one.

I have them on both slides on my Concord and so far (knock on faux wood) they have been pretty much trouble free. I did have to resync them once, I also spray lube on them a couple three times a year.

From my research and observation the biggest issue with Schwintek slides is the out of tolerance installation by the various manufacturers. They will not work properly if they are more than 1/8" out of alignment in any direction. Some manufacturers seem to think ± 1" is pretty good tolerance.

Dang and all this time I thought I was on the “I saw a Berk” thread, but guess FRF encountered a problem, redirected me to the Berkshire slide or specification thread instead . . . . . .
