Induction Stove in 2019 Berkshire XL 40 D

Still learning bout our new motorhome. There is no manual for the induction stove. When I power up the generator, several red lights blink on the induction stove unit. If I touch the power button they go off but come back on when the unit is not in use.

Is there something I need to do to make the flashing red lights go away? Are they supposed to flash all the time when the unit is not in use? Seems very odd to me.

I've asked the dealer to find the make and model so I can get a manual.

Thanks

Thank you for the response. My unit doesn't say True Induction on the surface so wondering if it is the same. Does yours sit one burner infront of the other rather left to right of each other? Mine sits one infront of the other. Do your lights flash on the unit all the time except when heating?

Here’s a picture of my unit. Power light on solid red when not in use. If you turn the power on with nothing on the burner it will start blinking after several seconds and then turn off.

Again thank you. Different unit although I would expect mine too act like yours.

If I have done the attachment right you will see a picture of mine. Different control.

Did you buy your unit there? We bought ours at Lazydays.

No. I'm Canadian so bought from a dealer here in Alberta.

Im thinking you bought a 43 foot unit as the stove you have I saw in the 43s.

I assume that you know that not all cookware will work with an induction cooktop. Cindy and I found this set with removable handles that allowed the pieces to nest within one another and store in very little space. It's worked well for us, and we got a second set for our son and daughter-in-law when they got an induction cooktop as well.

Cook Ware

Thanks for the suggestion. We have an induction stove in our home so familiar with them and the required cookware.

The flashing lights I am asking about happens immediately when you have line power. It’s like a microwave needing the clock set to stop the display from flashing.

I have a 2019 Berk XL 40C and have the same cooktop as yours G. Hollingsworth. It does the same thing, when on its lit, when off it blinks. I never really thought much about it. My problem is getting 2 pieces of cookware on it at the same time. One burner is smaller than the other but they are so close its hard to get 2 on it. It does work well though, I used it several times since I purchased it.

Thank You Again.

Appreciate your trouble.

Looks like it’s an AILIPU built-in Domino 2 Burner Induction Ceramic Cooktop 110V SM-DIC30 built out of China.

I’ve sent the information back to the dealer to get them to dig up the full manual.

At least I know mine works like yours!

Again appreciate you help.

Blinking Lights - Induction Cooktop

I turn the cooktop off at the Breaker....
.. I do the same for the dishwasher too - this ensures it stays locked

In the dishwasher manual there is a page that tells you how to change the settings so that the dishwasher locks a short time after closing the door. Ours has stayed closed since we did that.

Manual Located

I got a factory manual from the dealer, the one shown in pictures above. Oh my goodness, is this thing from China. The translation is terrible. For example under the heading Power On it says a) When plug in, the buzzer alters, LED display "----" shinning, the cooker ready for work"! In another area on the same page it says "If need inquires of the power and voltage. Press the key can show the current voltage or current of electricity". These are direct quotes!

The manual like to the Snappy Chef provided above is a much better manual. I suspect its a rebranded version from the same Chineese supplier.

It speaks the the flashing red light when the unit is not in use.

Thanks to all!

Welcome to 2019......

You see the same Chinese/English aberrations in some Amazon descriptions. If it is anything you would POSSIBLY have issues with (so other than cat litter) don't buy it. The email exchange for your warrantee claim will be entertaining but not satisfying.

Ask me how I know......
