Inside entry door grab handles

A little help.... At the recent Texas FROG rally, we noticed that some Berkshires had chrome assist handles on both sides of the entry door....

We don't have those - DW WANT'S THEM..

Help - where do I get them ????

I would guess that FR parts would be the place to check. I looked at mine and didn't see a manufacturers name on them.

Superchief suggested a call to Andy so that's on my Monday AM list.... I'm sure he'll send me to a FR dealer but I was hoping to go straight to the source - cheaper and easier....

I know what you mean.

Last month while we were on the road I thought about how valuable those handles were. Without them, my wife would have a very difficult time getting in. I would probably have to help her in every time.

Of course I assumed that all Berkshires had them.

My '08 did have them so I think that they have always been there. The install might have been overlooked at the factory.

Don't get to upset. My 08 and my buddies 08 did not have them. We have early builds. I do not know when they were added. I had mine put on in 09 when I was back at the factory and paid for them.

My 08 has a small wood handle in front of the passenger's seat. Dw dont like it much. She probably wouldn't like an upgrade either she complains the door is to narrow now don't think she'd want it any smaller. Jim

We have the wooden handle as well.... Almost useless.... The new handles actually take up no room and wife says they are 1,000 % improvement .... Makes entering / exiting soooo much easier....

Ernest - my 08 does not have them either and after launching myself out of the coach earlier this year (on a wet step) I think I may want to add them as well. Are there specific part numbers? Was the install simple position and drill? In the picture, it looks like a total of three bars or is the rear bar just a real long one?? Anymore info would be great!

Just call Andy in parts and he will put them on your card and ship them out....

There are two handles. - looking in coach - short one on right and long one on left .... On my 2008, I had to relocate the fire extinguish from front by windshield to a position by the passenger seat.... Once that's done , it's simply a drill and screw in place deal.... Had to buy screws since none came with them which was a little disappointing....

We will test them out on our trip this weekend....
