insurance

Hello all. I would like your opinions if you please.

We are set to pick up our new to us 2011 Berk on Tuesday. What kind of rates and whom do you recommend for RV insurance? I know its based on the driver, but if you could humor me, that would be great. good credit, driving record, homeowners, etc etc etc.

Thanks!!

Semper Fi,
MC

We use Good Sam's. I don't remember what we pay but we saved a bunch when we left Progressive. FMCA is also a good place to shop if you are a member.

No one has touched Progressive for my quotes. I think around $1800.

I would not touch Progressive if they gave it to me for free. Try to make a claim and you will find out why. We went with Allstate all the way, cars boat house and motor home.

I agree Marty my experience with Progressive has been bad to really bad. I have a deep and lasting hatred for them. It's funny that our independent Insurance agent that sells several different policy's called us and suggested that we shop around. She even reviewed our policy from Good Sam's and gave it high marks.
Rich I don't think my experience is normal and I'm sure they take good care of you. I don't mean to slam a product that you are happy with but just my experience.

We have everything through Country Financial. Allstate was just a little cheaper but we are friends with the Country rep.

We are paying 2900 for the MH and the car. We had to pay a 450$ extra because I had a MC accident that was not my fault but MI is no fault so I take a hit. The car is 1200 so the cost is close to other plans. Dianna did the research and thought that GS and FMCA covered more RV items and had a better understanding of the needs if RV's.

What kind of problems? I've been with them for years and had one claim years ago...no problems. The coverage that I have was at least as good as GS's and a couple of hundred bucks cheaper. If a lot of people have had problems with Progressive, please share your experiences. I would reconsider and then not base my decision on cost alone.
