It's a Done Deal,
Thank you all for taking the time to share your experiences with us and answering question after question.
After spending a few hours in it on Saturday and going back today to look it over with fresh eyes we took a road trip in it.
Long story short, signed the sales agreement, left a deposit, and set up a day and time for next week to take delivery. And oh yeah, pay the balance due.

Thanks to all of you. We look forward to picking it up and transferring everything over for the Wildcat to the Berkshire

How in the world did you get a brand new Berkshire 40 for that price? I have looked for a used one in the states year 2015 and cant locate one, using it for price comparison. I have a 15 Berkshire 40 XL bath and half loaded. From what I see I could sell it fairly fast about 135 or so. Not selling but just curious. My insurance co. values it at 179K 8 months ago. Did you get an engine with yours?

I guess the secret was that I wasn't looking to buy one. I was actually looking at 5th wheels and noticed that there was a link to a motorhome inventory. I had never seen a Fun Town RV that carried motorhomes so I was curious. Low and behold there it was 40' of Berkshire XL, quad slides, bath and a half and priced at approx. 52% off of MSRP. Heck, I thought that it was a misprint, but it wasn't. So I tried to talk them down, but they wouldn't budge. Leaving me with only two options, walk or step up to the plate. So I stepped up and did the deal.
Oh yea, it did come with the engine.
