Keeping Freezer Door Closed

I'm a new Berkshire 400QL owner with a small problem. We have velcro'd the top edge of the refrigerator section for travel mode but haven't had a good idea yet on how to keep the freezer door from sliding open in a turn. Any help??

I'm glad you asked that. I only drove my 400QL from the dealer to the house last October. Right out of the lot, we had the fridge door opening and fixed that with the velcro strap. I did take it out once more to top off the fuel, and the freezer door did not open on me, but I am going to plan on facing this same problem in the spring.

The only thing that comes to mind (while having a few beers, so take it for what it's worth) but maybe a wood stick down thru the fridge door handles to the freezer ?? I know it's not the best idea, but like I said, it's Saturday night and I'm passing the time while waiting for spring

Here's another thought....... Small strips of velcro with adhesive on both sides of the freezer door ?? Small white one may not be noticed ?

Well, I'll sit back and watch this thread for more ideas. I don't think there is a whole bunch of 400QL owners here, but the other models may have the same problem.

My buddy's 400gl did the same thing and while in for slide creep he told the dealer about it and they fixed it... Not sure how but I'll ask.

Forest River does have a new bungee strap that is long enough to go through all 3 handles on the Whirlpool fridge. We got one while at the factory in August and it works quite well.

Be lucky enough to have that GREAT BIG quad-door side-by-side that Dometic makes. When I put my coach in gear, the doors lock automagically and unlock when I put it in neutral.

I thought all Berks had that fridge, though.

Boowho??

Boowho.

That sounds like a good idea on the auto lock. But how is my wife going to get me a Pepsi going down the road ??

I have a short rubber strap that I tie around the top two doors. The Freezer has never came open.

I have the same lock as boo, you can slide the lock open while driving.
