Keys

I only received 1 set of keys when I picked up coach. Tried notifying the dealer, lost cause !

Has anyone bought any Freightliner key blanks off of E Bay ? They have them for about 5.75 a piece with free shipping. I checked with RF and they want over 50.00 for a blank. Seems like a lot of money for just a plain key with no kind of electronics in it. Any other sources ?

The prices for the other keys from RF weren't to bad, 5 - 10 dollars all cut ready to go.

Might check a locksmith. I tried Walmart and Home Depot with no avail for TT keys. Locksmith. No problem.

I have gone to Ace hardware and had extra keys made $2.50 each. Work great.

Someone told me Ace is one of only locations that have blanks for Trimark.

Just ordered 3 keys cut from e bay.

FR says they can't do dead bolt lock on door but can supply the other door key. Anyone know why ?

Joe I believe all the keys except the ignition and dead bolt are the same. FR should be able to send you all the keys except those two..

I got my ignition key from a locksmith. Take the number from the Trimark key and look on eBay. You can get any Trimark key there cheep.

Well I'd say if this was new FR would be required to furnish 2nd key or I'd be pushing dealer also. Why pay for something that is suppose to be supplied when purchased. Later RJD

Can I just say- I'm sad that this thread isn't about the Florida Keys. I miss it there.

(and now, back to your regularly scheduled thread)
