Leveler challenges
Good day all...first time poster
Have an 09 Berk 39BH with a weird leveler issue. Weird that they stopped working however the pump is still running. It works fine to extend and retract the two front slides so I am thinking this has to be a valve of some kind.
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks!
B

Welcome to the forum and the Berk family. It sounds like a valve problem to me also or electrical not sending the signal to the two front jacks. Does the problem occur when you try them individually or when pushing auto level?

Thanks Cajun. None of the jacks will operate but the pump/motor will engage and sound like it is trying to do something. Leads me to think it has to be a valve. Prior to the issue all four jacks worked fine whether using auto level or individual adjustment. No leaks from the jacks that I can tell and once deployed there was no "settling". The fact the slides are still working means it as to be some sort of valve I think.

Pimp-
Welcome to the forums! Can't really add to what has been tried but you should give Equalizer a call and see if they can assist you in any way.
Good luck!

So, just otp with Randy at Equalizer. First thing to check is a control/fuse box that will be located somewhere in between the pump assembly (back left compartment) and the input unit on the dash. Its 2 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 8 inches long. Has two wire harnesses going into it.
I know it is not located in the chassis wiring compartment front left. Any ideas? I thought maybe it is mounted underneath the dash control unit but don't want to pull that apart if someone knows different.
Thanks!

This was posted about non-working running lights but maybe there are other fuses in the same box that will control the levelers. Hopefully the fuse will be in there.
'Well, all is fixed, thanks to the crew at forest River. Randy's guys changed out a fuse in the fuse box located in the Inverter Compartment. The fuse box is located up on the top of that compartment, you might say it is a double secret hidden location that only a person familar with the coach would know about as it is not in any documentation I have. Thats a good tip, I will check over there. Whenever I get this all traced out i will let you guys know in case anyone else experiences it. FYI, it would not be a valve issue as I understand it now since each jack has its own individual valve.

Just a quick update. I located the control box. It is mounted in between the frame rails on the "roof" of the pass through storage compartment. I crawled in there on my back looking for it and spotted just a few minutes ago. After I get into it I will update.

Final update on this, the box contained five fuses that were all intact. I wiggled them a bit, replaced the box and now all of the jacks are working. No clue why, but it is working.

Pimp,
Happy to hear that you resolved your issue. Hopefully it will not return.

I have found out the hard way don't use fuse's from harbor fright the blades are to thin and the contact will be interment. Just go out and pay the bucks for the good old USA ones.

Another hidden five fuses. Would be nice if Forest River gave us a list of all these to at least give us a chance. I know I fix my own rig as the RV dealers near me are useless. They damage more than they fix and I am not kidding.
Well more info in the back of head catalog.
