We are so very sorry for your loss. We know how badly it hurts. In the last 30 years, we have lost 4 dogs and 3 cats. The better they are, the more it hurts. The only thing that helps the pain is a new puppy.

Our deepest condolences on the loss of your best friend.

While we still miss our German Shorthair Bella terribly, we opened our hearts to a rescue from the storms in NC. She has plugged a leak in our broken hearts and the healing has begun.

Don't wait too long to save a life. The love you had for Max needs a new home.

Sorry for your loss. Only people who have experienced the unconditional love of a pet can know your pain. Lost our Daisy (bloodhound) several years ago and it still hurts

So glad you were able to be with him. It is so hard at the end and for a while after they're gone.

I'm so sorry for your loss...

In our minds we always knew
this time would come to pass.
But knowing it, and living it,
has come and gone so fast.

Goodbyes are often hard to say,
they hurt so very much.
Though you're not gone.
You still remain,
in the minds, hearts, and lives you've
touched.

We have been camping with a group of friends, for more than 40 years, who are all dog lovers and dog owners. We have shared their losses and our own losses of beloved pets over those many years. Our pets bring a joyous presence to our campfire outings, and all are loved and remembered for their unconditional love of us. Max will live on in your cherished memories for as long as you live.

I have it on good authority from my beloved mother, that, when I pass from this earth, I will go to Heaven where all the dogs I have ever known will greet me with wagging tails and a lick of my face.

Your beloved mother is absolutely right! I have a small plaque that reads, "Heaven - All the dogs that ever loved you, will be waiting at the gates!"

Thank you "SunseekerFunseekers". All of our camping family friends share your thoughts, as well.

It might have been Mark Twain, who when asked where he wanted to go after he died, said, "If all dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where the dogs are."

We have 3 min schnauzers; Ricky & Lucy just turned 3, then Ziggy, who will be FIFTEEN in July. Aside from a little arthritis, Ziggy is super healthy, but I know his "time" is coming.. He sleeps a lot, & every time I think his end is near, he surprises me by rolling around on the floor/playing w/the youngsters, or barking at deer, out back!

I STILL grieve from my Sammy (our rescue, who was Ziggy's best friend), who got diabetes, then went blind. I had to inject him twice/day w/insulin & he was doing GREAT for 4 mos, then all of a sudden, he went totally blind & just lost the will to live, so we sent him to doggy heaven, a week b4 Xmas, 3 yrs ago. Broke my heart; he was my sole mate, & the 3rd dog we've lost.. THAT is the bad part; unfortunately they can't tell us "when it's time," WE have to make that call for them.

Whoever said that getting another dog ASAP after you loose one, is absolutely right, it really does help! (Just TRIED 2 add a cute photo of the 3, but can't figure out how 2 do it; oh well.... Take care! Erinn

I'm sorry for your loss.

We had to put our chocolate lab down in November...….cancer. I had no idea it would be so hard and painful for us.

Folks, I’d like to introduce “Maggie”....

She’s decided to leave the Humane Society facility in Corpus Christi and join us in our future travels....

She’s in no way a “replacement” for our beloved Max, but she will help fill the hole left in our hearts by his passing....
