Maiden Voyage

About to leave Tampa, FL and head home to Texas in our ( new to us) 2008 Berkshire..... Wish us luck.... Wife will be following in the pick-up.... About 1,100 miles so it should be a pretty good shake down trip for that Mercedes engine..... Wife finally has her Mercedes - LOL...

We did a very short local trip for our maiden voyage, followed shortly thereafter by a trip from Colorado through Dallas ( where we picked up 4 additional passengers, bringing our total to 9 ) on our way to Orlando. It wasn't quite coast to coast, but given the number of people involved, it should count for something!!

What I like best about being a grandpa? I don't have to raise them. I can spoil them rotten, I don't have to teach them how to grow up. They do that by themselves, and to fast. Worry, yeah, always. Discipline. Nope, that is the parents job. All we do is try to set a good example of how to be good and honest people. And support them, in any activity they are into at the moment. Lots of hugs, lots of kisses and listen to the most boring stories with full enthusiasm. Old age and loss of hearing is a blessing at times.

2...When they leave.....
