Metal Filings (Aluminum) Near Corner of Schwintek Slide
Have noticed metal filings (aluminum) on the bedroom carpet. Located near the rearmost corner of the wardrobe slide, under the corner of the slide (when slide is in). Has anyone noticed the same or know the cause and/or necessary repair? Am concerned.

I would vacuum them up and see if it happens again before I tore anything apart. It could just be remnants from the build. Most people have found sawdust and/or metal shavings that weren’t cleaned up after construction.

Do you see any physical damage to the slide rails/gears?

Slide Tracks Look Perfect - No Wear Pattern
I took a hard look at the four slide tracks. None of the tracks show any sign of wear. BUT, it appears each time I move the slide out and then in, I end up with more metal filings on the carpet. Anyone have an idea what could be wearing abnormally??

Do you have the aluminum plates installed on the underside of the slide? If so, possibly coming from them

No. Have NOT installed the plates. The metal filings are under the inside most aft corner of the slide on the bedroom carpet when the slide is fully in.

The cause is Construction debris. The carpet is installed first then the rest of the rig. I'm surprised the carpet makes it to the end. The repair is a vacuum cleaner.

Mine too
Might be the edge of the motor shaft rubbing against the gear. Mine was doing same thing. I held up bed and brought slide in and out, and both the gear teeth as well as the teeth on the gear rail on the bed had no signs of visible wear. The motor shaft (non-toothed section) was right up against the teeth of the bed, so that was the source of my metal shavings.
I will keep checking, but I think that it will eventually stop once the gears have "found their way".
