Motorized sun shade will not come down

Hi, anyone have this issue? I saw some earlier posts on the reset switch, we found them, tried but it did not work. I read some posts about the shade going up or down but only an inch, our will go up but not down at all.

Maybe check the switch, a wire may have come loose. From what you are posting you can rule out the motor and also fuses.

Sounds to me like either a loose connection or a faulty motor.

Mike checked the switch and the wires for loose connections, the shade makes a small jerk but stops immediately. I guess I will contact Forest River and see what they think? Does anyone know what the make is I don't seem to have any documentation, the only thing I found was a United Shade card, but no specs or anything.

Sounds like they've fallen out of calibration. It can happen for apparent reason. When you reset them you'll need to do both. They are MCD shades. Google it and you'll find their website which had the installation manual which includes the procedure. I keep a copy on my tablet in the motorhome because it had happened 3 times to me.

Actually, if you've already pressed the switches, you've entered calibration mode. Those are not a reset switch, their actually a programming switch. Here is the website. http://mcdinnovations.com/

Here's a link to the manual. http://www.mcdinnovations.com/files/...-3-website.pdf
