My new 2012 390BH360

Picked this up on November at National RV Detroit. So far we have put 5600 miles on it. The only problem so far is the driver side window is not dual pane and rattles in the wind. I did stick some cardboard in it to keep it tight and it helps but in heavy wind it still rattles a little. I forgot to winterize the ice maker and froze the solenoid and split the solenoid open. With that broke the fridge doesn't work unless u unplug solenoid. Other than that it's been pretty good so far. We took it from SK, Canada to Brownsville, TX then around to Orlando.

We left rig down there and flew home for a month then we are off to the Florida Keys. We have a sight for a couple of days at Blue Water Key but, it anyone knows some other parks along the keys to stay at let me know.

I've been on the forums for awhile. I got on before I ordered this rig in May. Thanks again.

Love the graphics scheme on the exterior. Of course, the interior is nice too. It sounds like your already enjoying it.

Congrats on the new rig. I do like the color scheme. Sharp and really stands out!

I do have one question for you though. How do you like the hard sided doors on the bunks? When we bought our rig one of the selling points for us was the lack of a hard sided door on the bunks. When we looked at a Tiffin it had the hard sided doors and the bunks felt very coffin-like to me. Also with the bunk doors open the hall was almost impassible to get to the bathroom in the Tiffin. Is this an issue in your Berkshire?

The hard sliding doors are fine when the slides are out but when the slides are in the doors have to be closed to get into the bathroom. I'm going to change them to be more like the sliding closet door in the bedroom.
We currently only have a 4 month old and it's perfect for her we just leave one of the doors closed with her in it.

Looks good - hope you use the heck out of it - that's why we have them after all. Let us know how you do the doors where the bunks are. I think Berk was trying to compete with Fleetwood and Tiffen on the "closet" look. No offense but I like how my bunks are "door free" on our 2011. It makes the our kids feel like they have their own space withe the curtain closed.

Both the hard sided doors and the flip up top bunk that allows you to turn the bunks into a wardrobe were features we saw in the Tiffin when we were looking at bunk models two years ago. For us and the way we use our rig, the hard sided doors were kind of a deal breaker. We tend to use the unit for long trips and those hard sided doors made it too hard to use the bathroom while we were on the road. I think the flip up bunk to make it into a second wardrobe is a great idea. Maybe when the kids are gone we'll make that conversion.

We purchased a 390 FL Berkshire. We are having problems with the drivers window also. It is 2 months and we are trying to get Forest River to fix...they must have gotten bad batch and we don't want our warranty to run out.
