It does appear that the dealer has done something to create the issue if all was ok before they worked on it and a new controller does not fix the issue. Like a lot of us, troubleshooting with a multimeter does not appear to be part of your arsenal. Side note; I went to a web site the other night and discovered Lippert is no longer making these steps ( LCI now owns Kwikee). Parts are still available but the steps are now out of the market arena. At least that is what the web site indicated. If true it's way to late for a lot of us.

The two recent mods that Dan has written up are to good to lose. How can the be saved on this site can we do stickies on just the Berkshire page?

Thanks, I hope some other people can use them.
After several days now I must say the step lights have been my favorite mod. And it was the easiest. Only took about 20 minutes once I figured out what to do. Actually the LED lights come on anytime the door is open regardless of the switch position. I never have to think about it.

Very easy!! I bought a 20" LED light strip from AutoZone for $20 & it fit perfect!! Really light up them step.
