I agree. Seems every race got to change the rule. Guess they did the change for just Talladega. Had they stayed with rule of 3 GWC My boy would have won. Later RJD

Have you noticed that almost every week, more and more of the seats are covered with large advertising banners trying to hide the fact that people aren't buying tickets. ten years ago there was a waiting list at most tracks. NASCAR is quickly moving away from the culture that made it was . Not unique as many companies are doing the same Harley Davidson is another.

Just got back from the FCOC rally in Charlotte, NC and camped just across the street from the Charlotte Raceway. No race the weekend we were there but took a tour of the track and Rouche and Hertrich to see how they build the cars. On the tour of the track we saw how they painted the seats each in a different color (red, white, yellow, blue) to make it look like the seats were occupied. We could see the stands and from a distance it looked like the raceway stands were filled. I guess they really are starting to feel the pinch of smaller crowds.

Must admit, as an 88 fan last week was hard to swallow! Not sure where the sport is headed, but I will still watch.

I'm a 88 fan as well. Not only did the finish stink it wasn't on our cable so I could watch it at home. Between the stupid chase and swapping the tv coverage around its getting to be more trouble than it's worth for me.

Yes lots of fifth wheels in there! Converted school busses, pop ups, travel trailers and any type of camper
you can think of are in the infield. I've been in the infield of Charlotte go a long time now and see them all! Our friends used to bring their 5er until they just bought a motorhome.

Yes there are plenty of 5ers and trailers. Anything on wheels are there. Sometimes you have to park your tow vehicle outside the track in overnight parking.

Guy told me once: "NASCAR can make a winner out of whoever they want". That's about how it works. They having a few problems with Danica tho. Lol Making her win a race is above ever NASCAR's power.

They've done it for Jeff and Joey Logano, they can do it for Danica if they want it to happen.

I was just looking at tickets for Phoenix and it's sold out except the Hill section. But then I see the brokers have lots of tickets for sale. I guess their favorites drivers didn't make the cut their tickets are now for sale.

leaving tomorrow for Sebring, Florida for the 12 hours of Sebring. We park at turn 13. We back the MH up to the fence. We have 2 spots so we have 20 ft of fence.
Speaking of losing ticket sales. I heard yesterday the US Grand Prix will be back this year in Austin at the Circuit of the Americas. They have lowered Gen Admission ticket prices, food prices and parking prices. (It is about time!!). We went the first year of the race: $1400.00 for tickets, $17.00 for a hamburger (just the burger! Fries were $8.00 extra) $6.00 for a bottle water...... it was pathetic! No, we didn't go back the second year! Now the race coordinators are scrambling trying to sell tickets. That is what happens when you bite the hand that feeds you!!
