Thanks Kohersh, I am looking forward to your install update. I need to do this upgrade as well because I still have the "old" 6 light display. My batteries have been fine, but I check and fill them often. -Glenn

The install was straight forward. the existing hole needs enlarging, aside from that it is plug and play. I would love to be pointed to a useful primer on setup for an RV. I read through the manual and did a quick runthrough to make sure it was set to the basics correctly. I will fiddle with it more over the trip as I use it and the batts. Also, I took Phil's advice and set it at 30% max charge also. He usually seems to know what he's talking about
If nothing else, it looks way cooler than the other one

A Note- I'm not sure I would recommend using the tape on here, I managed on my last pull of tape to lift a portion of the veneer from the MDF substrate, thankfully its hardly visible and I'll handle it with some touch up work.

Good looking install kohersh, do you mind if I ask who you ordered your controller from? -Glenn

Looking on Amazon there is a ME-RC50 for $183.49 and a ME-ARC50 for $229.00. Anyone have an idea as to which one would be the correct one for my 2013 390RB? I am at work right now and cannot look at which inverter I have. -Glenn

Thanks. Did some additional research and it looks like the ARC-50 has a couple of extra options that I don't need. -Glenn

I'll tell you what I really like about it already, is even with AC power applied. It told me actively what the dynamic DC load was.
I knew the slides took a lot, But I was suprised that the kitchen slide peaked at 80 amps!

Also something I saw was that at some point the screen displayed "off" Which per the manual says the charger actually went into tender mode, after float mode. Maybe the charger was doing that the whole time but at least now I know.

Doing my upgrade / install tomorrow. Amazon delivered it today. Just put in 4 new Trojan T-105 coach batteries so this should help with keeping them in tip top shape.

By the way, I use these under my batteries just in case. In the past they have captured stuff and protect the battery compartment.

Did my upgrade install this morning. Install was a piece of cake. As suggested, I reset the charge rate from the default of 80% to 50%.

Anything else I need to change or are the other default parameters acceptable?

Marc glad it was a simple instal. I'm convinced that old control cost me a set of batteries.

No doubt. While my old batteries did make it 4 years. I was constantly needing to water them. The last year they wouldn't hold a charge for more than 3 or 4 days and that was with little or no use.

So? 200ish ah?
If so, you could drop it a bit more, around 40%

Marc i ran 50% for a long time but have now dropped to 30% It seems to work ok and as I don't often boondock so fast charging is not as important as no mess in the battery compartment.
As for that post by Kenny I can't read it. I tried on my laptop and phone but i assume it is a page from the owners manual.I need to reread that as some of the choices I made may need tweaking.

If you have the time, a lower charge rate is best.
But, if running the genny, one could up the charge rate to get it done faster.
