New Berkshires

Just got back from a tour at the diesel division. Got a new surprise coming with future model for the Berks. Going to have a Berkshire tag axle. Can't wait to see this in production.

Handling, weight carrying capacity increase, annnnnd, this model will come with a 450 HP side radiator cummins.(plus a host of other upgrades) IMO, the company is nailing it right now with product development. I know I'm excited. After this week of seeing Forest River's commitment to customer service, I'm not looking elsewhere when I upgrade.

I think that the info will be released at a dealers meeting/convention in the near future. New blue paint job that looks sweet.

Just remember...... Supposedly maintenance costs increase dramatically on tags. I've heard as high as 3X the normal single axle annual maint costs.

Don't know if true; just sayin'

Boowho??

Is that due to the tag axle or the larger engine. I would expect that the oil volume is larger but that would not account for 3X. I can say that costs jumped about 3X (even more if serviced thru Cummins) going gas to dsl

Good point. Something to think about if you're not getting a lot of road time each year.
