New Shocks

I was at the Rally last week and was visiting with Chip at his Rallies R Us booth about working on my tow bar. I also was interested in adding valves to my air bags. He asked if I have had replaced my shocks yet. I had not so he suggested that I do that before I do the valving. As I posted on the Berkshires FB page I had him replace all four shocks with Bilstein shocks. When he removed the old shocks I was surprised at how loose they were. Easily pushed in and out.
I drove about 300 miles yesterday and I'm so happy with the results. They are the best thing I have done to improve handling and ride. Absolutely thrilled with them. I don't think it's a big job but chip has done a bunch of them. I paid 540 installed but I'm sure you can buy them and put them on yourself.

Shocks

Phil,
Glad to hear they made a noticeable difference.
Great to see you both at the rally.

Just replaced the factory shocks on the 250, less than 50K and they were shot.

Very happy with the Bilstein 5100's...

New Shocks

Phil inspired me and I also had mine changed at the Rally. My Berkshire has 20000 miles on it. I drove about 550 miles with the new shocks. I'm impressed with the way they reduce roll on curves and the reduced dive on hard braking. They also reduced the jolt you get when hit an expansion joint or an overpass transition. Definitely worth the $540.

Is there a particular model number on the shocks we should be looking for? I think I would like to change my mine.

I'm not sure if this is the correct part as I didn't think to get the part number. Double check before ordering.
